Long story short, I'm doing a shoot next weekend for a client that will use the images to make prints (FYI, client may or may not be a close family member and I may or may not be helping them get their new business off the ground...so I'm not looking to take them to the cleaners but they are insistent on paying me, at least they didn't ask for it to be free!).
I'm charging my travel and hourly fee for the shoot but I'm kinda stuck on what to charge for the release of the digital image for print. I was thinking something like 10% per print or $5 per print sold. BTW the prints will be sold by client commercially.
What does everyone else think? Sound about right? Too high?
In the past I've typically controlled the prints and whatnot so this is kinda new territory for me.
