Cutain Install

I'm about to order some curtain track from the website of the same name... I want to install it in my GMC Savana passenger van for when sleeping.

But I have a quick question for all of you who've done this... are you just screwing the track into the headliner foam? Doesn't seem like it's be strong enough... or are you screwing it into plastic trim? Does anyone have any pics of a curtain track install I could look at? This seems like it should be easy, but I'm really second guessing myself.

**Holy cow, I just noticed I spelled curtain wrong in the title.... ugh.

Thanks!!

I didn't take any pictures, but I used low-profile 3M Dual Lock tape to stick my curtain track to the top of the window glass.

I wanted the track to be removable. The low profile stuff is nice because it keeps the track tight to the glass, but it's not rated for quite as many attach/remove cycles as the thicker stuff. Since I only plan to remove the track so that I could replace broken sliders, this works out fine for me.

Hope that helps.

I'd skip the rails and the cost! Head over to Home Depot or your fabric store pick up a snap kit, the one with screw in connectors drill some small holes attach to the drapes. Easy, low cost, simple & you can fold them up when not in use.
