Day trip food storage

For day trips, we put the cold stuff (water, beer, etc) in ice at the bottom of a small cooler, fold up a towel to cover that, then just put the dry stuff (typically in zip lock bags or plastic containers) on top of the towel. The towel is thick enough when folded to provide plenty of insulation to keep the moisture in the sandwiches from condensing & turning the bread soggy, etc.

I'll try the towel trick this weekend.

The easy solution is just to put everything in a plastic bag, inside the box. Lol.

Its what I would do, doesn't change the look and feel of anything, but keeps items dust free.
