One picture that I really wanted but just couldn't get was when we left the Racetrack, Sam was behind us and he had his headlights on and the dust was billowing up behind my 80, here comes busting through the dust this armored up, lifted, lighted up 80. Awesome. Just a vision I will never get out of my head.

We enjoyed ourselves despite the cold weather...the night of the 31st we didn't see anyone doing any dutch oven, so we went ahead and made our own little peach cobbler at our camp. The stars out there are amazing. I have seen stars in Moab, San Rafael Swell, Lake Powell, Alaska, etc. but DV takes 1st place.
Here are a few pics of the Moody Clan:

What is that little 4x4 trail you and Dan are driving up? Looks kind of fun :)

That was over Steel Pass. From Eureka Dunes to Saline Springs area. It was fun. I would recommend an earlier start, we finished up in the dark and basically set up camp in the dark.

Got to meet the Moody clan also, again just a great trip, other than the cold.

So you guys went in via Steel pass? Was that the worst part?

How did the turbo tent work out? It didn't look that big.

The "worst" part was in the area of the pictures. It really wasn't that bad.

The tent worked great. The footprint is the only concern, but other than that, it is super easy to set up and take down. When set up it is a very solid design and the materials are substantial, so it should last.

Nice looking Big-O Tires, they look kind of narrow, what size, 255/85?

Those are actually the standard 285/75/16. I am thinking pretty seriously about the 255's for my next set. I have heard mixed reviews from people running them on 80's though...

I'm a 255/85 guy, but I'm conidering a set of 285s right now...

285/75 must be good on the 80 as they look 'Just Right' :)

Are they load range E or D?
