Been slowly working on / planning the trailer interior over the winter. I am building a frame out of aluminum extrusions from tnutz that will bolt to the cross members of the trailer. I have dry fit everything together in the basement ( ignore the clutter in pics ) so that all the tnuts will be in place when I assemble it in the trailer. I have also have built the fridge platform and a sink / stove platform from plywood.
The fridge / stove / sink slide will be in the front of the trailer and slide out the door on the driver side. I plan on using drag chains for the water supply hoses, but have not got the exact details figured out on that as it will be a pretty tight bend. The 20gal water tank will be positioned over the axel, but it off-centered towards the passenger side to leave room for the 12v water heater. I am a little concerned with weight balance. Between the water tank and slide out kitchen I have the Sok 206 ah heated battery, linx distributor, victron solar charger, multiplus 2000 inverter / charger, and the water pump / accumulator tank. The other side of the water tank will have a single full width drawer and the space over the drawer and water tank will be a platform for storing larger gear such as camp chairs and a portable solar panel.
The 12v water heater is from expedition upfitter, and uses around 17A when the heating element is on. I am going to need to do some testing on how practical this is with the 206 ah battery and 200 watt solar panel. I mostly plan on using it for dishes and more comfortable hand washing, so for longer trips I may just set the thermostat lower or turn it off to save power for the fridge and water pump. If needed, I think I can fit another 206 AH battery next to the current one if I relocate the lynx and solar controller.
