The Izusu is an awesome upgrade, but also long in the tooth age wise- but nice having gear driven timing setup.
Bottom line, for the dollars/funds you are planning to spend to convert, go tried and true as mentioned several times above. In fact, go with a new Turner engine (I prefer the 200 but most like the 300, and the R380 is a given), new Ashcroft tranny and T-case, and HD internals for the axle shafts/lockers. Fit a 1.4 with 255/85-16 or 8.25x16, and you are golden. Many many folks have already tried most every alternative known, and the only real option is above. Why recreate all the mistakes/trial and error, whe you could be well on your way to traveling?
Certainly not trying to be condescending, but if the goal is to build something, then fine- build away. But, if the goal is to get out and travel safely and economically, the formula has already been discovered...
