Defender Alternator Upgrade

Hi All, I have decided to change out the hydraulic winch on my D110 (200tdi) to a Warn 8274.

I have two batteries already, but I am still running the stock (I think 40amp?) alternator.

Does anyone know of a straight-swap (drop in, holes align, same plug, pulley, etc) alternator upgrade, like a 100amp, etc?

Cheers

Ray

Which engine do you have?

For the most part, most alternator mountings are the same. So its just how it is clocked and wired.

They say the 100amp Marrelli will fit but you just need to swap the v belt pulley over to it. (its a 300tdi part).

That said I thought the 200tdi one was 65a and should be ok for a winch, 2 bats, maybe a bunch of lights.

Assuming this is a Defender style engine, the stock 65 amp is a straight fit. Britpart does a 120 amp that works well. Other options are limited due to the tight space constraints.

If it a a Disco style you can fit a stock 100 amp unit.
