Defender-ish Headlights on a D2?

1st of all, 360LRX is a complete scam just so everyone understands... second of all the 03-04 style is a great headlight. The shape in which it's made is in fact a variation on a Series or a Defender truck. I have an 02, but I converted to the 03-04 because it looks SO much better(and my 02 set up was aging very hard)

I apologize, I should prefaced that more. The only reason I provided the link was because I didn't see a way to upload a photo from my tablet. I've seen them in other forums being discussed and they didn't appear to be on the up and up.

I agree that the 03-04 conversion looks great, but I was looking for something a little different.

Has anyone tried it?

As RNPhoto noted, if you're jonesing for a change, go with the '03-'04 style.

That 360 truck looks like a bucket of Mad Dog 2020 mixed with insecurity and a pinch of get 'r done.

No need to apologize, it didn't sound like you were advertising for them; I just didn't want people to start asking about where to buy!

You say that get 'r done part like it's a bad thing...

Look, I get it. It might not be everyone's first choice. But I don't see the concept being completely out of line. Has anyone besides the scam artists at 360 tried it? It looks like they used a kit or something.

Perhaps it's more "hole muh beer" than "get 'r done":friday:

It took me awhile to learn that just because you can do something, it doesn't necessarily follow that you ought to do it.

Are you looking for better headlights or just different headlights?

Perhaps.

And I'm looking for both.

Daryl, I'm assuming you don't have a DII. The glass headlights are archaic. I've had 3 crack within 7 months of ownership from rocks or debris hitting them while driving. They've filled with water, blown bulbs and gotten hazy. The plastic ones are much less prone to chips or cracks, won't shatter in a cold water crossing situation, are easily aimed, can be resurfaced, are brighter, and look better. How many more reasons do you need?

I have both a D1 and a D2 currently and have had none of those issues with either. I'm not quite sure how you are managing to break glass lights, but if you somehow think that plastic ones are the solution.....well, it's your truck.

The glass cracks from rocks hitting them, the rocks just bounce off the plastic. They don't shatter from the rocks, they chip and crack.

I understand what you are implying. I'm just at a loss to come up with any sort of typical or reasonable scenario where there are large and high speed rocks at the level of my headlights on a regular basis.
