Delete Kits

Hello, I’ve got a ’99 Ford F‑250 and a buddy suggested I put an EGR delete kit on it. I did some research but I’m still not sure what benefits it actually brings or if it’s worth doing. I also noticed there are other options like a fuel bowl delete kit and an EPBV delete kit, though from what I’ve read the last one doesn’t really change much.
Would a diesel delete kit be the better route overall, or are these smaller deletes more practical? Any advice or personal experience would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Is this a gas or diesel ’99 F250? The diesel 7.3 of that era has no EGR, DEF etc so no need to delete any emissions controls on this generation truck. There is no “diesel delete kit” for this truck.

The fuel bowl and EPBV deletes are not emissions-related and may be useful depending on the build you are starting. Ppl delete fuel bowls for reliability and a cleaner fuel system - usually they’re running upgraded injectors and a fully regulated fuel return system. EPBV deletes removes a valve from the turbo assembly intended to help with warmups. This valve can stick and the pedestal the turbo sits on can also leak so people often do both at the same time. For most 7.3s of that era, EBPV and pedestal deletes are useful reliability mods; fuel bowl less so if your bowl isn’t leaking and you’re not planning on big power.
