I have drastically reduced the price of this issue. Other sellers are selling the same issue for over $350. CRAZY!!
This is a copy in good condition and very entertaining and an informative source of info for the desert southwest.
I am selling a extra issue on Ebay. Starting bid is $45.00

I have several more extra issues that I am willing to sell. If you have a specific issue or date that you want let me know.

How about I detail your car and you pay me with the magazine.

I will wash, clay, polish, soft bristle brush to the "cracks", rubber protection, and wax the outside of your rig.

Inside....vacuum, shampoo carpet and seats, an armor all the interior pieces.

Oh man have you seen my truck? If the patina were to be removed it might fall apart. Seriously though, if I had a vehicle that could use it I might take you up on it.

If you are not a collector, all copies of Desert Mag including the DEC 1937 are free for down load in .txt or .pdf format nowadays.

It's public knowledge and like I said, "If you are a collector" then yes you have a collectible item for sale. So, your sale has not been compromised, if this is what you are referring too.

I'm kidding, I'm kidding, I have the complete set of Desert Magazine from 1937 to 1982 when they were nothing but xerox copies before they folded. They are great to thumb through and find old roads that no longer exist.

Not only old roads, but one can find the very early accounts of lost mines and small stage route settlements that no longer exist. Most Topos only date back to 1971-1972 and some are a few years earlier, but beyond that, only historical documents or Desert Mag have the needed info for a true expedition or treasure hunt.

In addition to my collection of Desert I was also given maybe 40 old topo maps dating to the late 40's to early 1950's, mostly of the Sierra Nevada and Mojave Desert areas. They are great to lay next to a modern topo and compare.

Those topos would be interesting. Are you selling them as well?

Check for the Mojave desert ones. Thanks

I was just looking through the maps this afternoon and most have reprint dates from 1941-1951 many are of the Barstow, Mojave area and Coachella Valley to the east. I dont know the exact printing dates but the date in the lower right hand corner states the reprint date while the date in the left corner states the date the info was gathered such as the air or ground survey dates many dating to the 1910's to 1920's.
