Today I visited Desertikon to check work progress and we are well under way with the link cell cabin.

the frame to the floor where then attach the 2 benches FASP is finished, the door has now been defined to study the slider on 2 wheels and crane with winch.

This Space For Rent
The rear seats will be swiveling independent to the front seats? That seems rather unconventional and if there is a pass-thru between the front and rear seats than maybe also a bit dangerous. Neat build....just curious whether the isolation of the front seats in the cab and the rear seats on the moving camper frame was just due to simplicity or whether there is another motive here? The driver and passenger will get the comfort of the air-ride cab while the kids in the back will be getting bounced around all over the place!

I can not fully understand your question but I can guarantee that I did not have much choice.

I have long studied every possible solution, and the other end to have 7 seats and two single beds in the second row this is the only possible solution.

I hope that with a soft seat children will not be bounced ...

Observer
Enrico,

I admire your build!!! I am an AMerican stationed here in Vicenza Italy and look forward to seeing your vehicle on the Road. If I see your Patrol I will wave, I drive a similar colored Toyota Tacoma lifted with a shell on the back.

Hello Morgan,
forgive my delay in responding but I was on holidays with the Patrol off road in Albania and Greece very beautiful, especially Albania very "wild".

I'll be happy when Desertikon 4x4 is finished and if you're still in Vicenza drink a beer together and get a closer look at the finished work.

Enrico, I am VERY impressed with your truck AND your knowledge of the English language. I just read the whole thread of the build-up, and can only wish you and your family the best in your future travels and endeavors. Enjoy life!

Thank you Gatsma, I hope for you and those you care about things they are always positive.

The political situation is very difficult in recent years in North Africa with exception of Morocco is no longer safe, and also to the east of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine is not helping those who dream of traveling like me.

I hope that in a year when I finish the project Desertikon 4x4 at least the situation in the east between Russia and Ukraine has returned to peace.

Thanks again for the compliments I assure you that I am not a professional but just an enthusiast who reads a lot and is documented on the web.
For this I owe a lot to this and other forums such as http://www.allrad-lkw-gemeinschaft.de/

E 'for this reason that I decided to document my realization, in the hope that in the future it may also be useful to other people.

Basically this is the real wealth of valuable forum to exchange of opinions and experience.

Greetings to all users from the beautiful Italy.

Hello guys,
finished our holidays I started to work on Desertikon

So here we are in the design and construction of the bike rack:

This will create a support between the wheels of the bikes for a 2-stroke 15HP and space for the bag of inflatable rubber boat (RIB).

The structure will have the strength necessary to allow in the future the ability to upload a Smart cabrio Ist series (as an alternative to two bikes).
