Destination A/T

BWJ,

Any shortcommings you have found to them? And what load rating are you using? They do get good ratings, but seem to be sleepers as far as looks. They don't look it, but seem to do the job well. May have to put some real consideration into them.

Checked at Costco, up here they want $224 a tire... $190 a tire for the BFG AT's

Thanks again,
Cindy

Cindy,

Bummer to hear about your Costco...Glad mine has the prices that they do...:Wow1:

I found these tires to be great all the way around. Excellent on all surfaces (snow, rain and mud). I went to a local firestone where they carried both and I compared them side by side. In my opinion, it was apparent that the Dueler A/T revo had the Destination A/T beat on every aspect from the center water channel, to the side block pattern. Don't know what you mean about 'sleepers as far as looks' comment. Since my rig is a DD, I thought these were a good option when compared to M/Ts. Would have gone with the Destination M/Ts and got them siped if I had a different DD...

For what it's worth. I am very impressed by revo's, EXCEPT for ice and snow. I need ice snow performance, will be going with duratracks personally or destination's.

as someone that has had both, go with the Duratrac if you are looking for snow and ice performance.

I had the destinations on my 4runner, but the duratracs on the Lexus are a legitimate snow tire. (enough so that we are getting a second set of wheels/tires for summer/dd use, leaving the duratracs for trail/snow/rally)

BWJ,

Okay, they look a LOT better mounted than on the rack, I retract my comment :) Just sitting on the showroom rack they looked a little ... well bleh. What size and rating are you running on your rig?

Thanks for sharing the pics, nice set up you have.

Thanks! They are 265/75 r16...

I thought that they looked beefier than the Destination A/Ts when comparing the two...Couldn't find an apples to apples comparison pic.

Either way, I don't think that you can go wrong. Good problem to have I would say. Don't want to muddy the waters however, the Nitto Terra Grappler may be another tire to consider...
