di-electric grease on Nato plug

Hey guys, just stumbled across an easy solution for a problem I've been having and thought I'd share it. I'm sure most of you with military trailers (m416 and CDN m101) have converted your Nato plug to standard wiring, but I still use the Nato since it mates perfectly with the Nato socket on my military Rover.

Problem is that it takes a good 10-15 minutes to get the plug into the socket. The rubber boot shrunk over the years, the pins don't line up perfectly, etc.

Found this post over on Steel Soldiers and gave it a shot. A little di-electric grease on the plug and socket and it goes on and off perfectly now.

This may be common knowledge for a lot of you, but was news to me...
