diamondback tonneau cover

So I’m about to pull the trigger and buy a Diamondback ATV package but before I do it I wanted to know what you guys thought. BTW it cost about $2200

Little back ground, I want the security and the storage of a tonneau cover but I also have a quad, so I need a way to get it to the desert. I was looking at getting a trailer but it takes up too much room. i was also thinking that i could use it as a slepping platform with an Adveture tent over the top. what do you guys think?

WOW that looks like a great set-up ...thanks alot now I want one
Heck the open rail ATV set-ups run $1000+ with no security, so maybe the sitcker shock isn't so bad afterall.

Update - I already pulled the trigger on one of these for my F250 shortbed. An 'SE' , so $980 + $150 shipping on-line. I haul 3 (or more) ATVs, so my trailer is coming no matter what I do.
As I pondered these, a point about ATVs on the top of the Diamondback. While most (or all) of the open type ATV racks mount to the floor of your bed, these are resting on the siderails. So the open style transfers the weight of the ATVs to the floor, in effect lowering your CG (center of gravity). Of course not as low as if the ATV was in your bed, but still lower then a sidewall mounted transfer. I'm sure Diamondback has worked out the numbers on paper and in real life, but perhaps a point to ponder if you have a smaller truck or heavy ATVs (my Polaris Sportsman's are 750+ lbs each).

I really like it. Mog's right the open tops are at least half that number and don't offer secure waterproof storage underneath. A small trailer will cost almost as much (plus the cost of tires, registration, property taxes, etc.).

Any idea how much these weigh? If you have any additional specs please post as I'm sure others might be interested.

If you want to camp on top, consider ordering the ladder rack and mounting an awning (see AT trailer pic for example). You could also add a pull out deck or drawers to access stuff while the tent is up. Tuffy Products offers them in 4', 6', and 8' lengths. You could probably go with a short one and still have room up front for a water tank, compressor, or other heavy items. One of these would make a nice pull out kitchen.

the site says it weighs 25-35 lbs. per panel, at the HD can hold 1600 lbs.

I thought about that. the problem is the quad wont fit under it.

lol, i was thinking the same thing. i could make a sink in one and maybe add a steel tray for dutch oven cooking. but how much does one of those drawers weigh? i don't want to add too much weight.
