the portal trucks ive been in, designed as portals, mogs and pinz, have spooky handling when they lift a tire off camber.

I agree re the Pinzgauer but not the Mog.

I get what you are thinking by the smiley alone. Wheel on the ground is still driving. However, the lockers work best with all 4 wheels on the ground. Which was my point.

Pinz has this issues completely due to lack of articulation. Narrow truck doesn't help. Put my old Pinz on it's side once. It was very easy to do.

Yeah I think a standard width track short wheel base G would be pretty diabolical with the sway bar disconnected.

Mine is not too bad but it also has an extra 100 mm of track added to each side with the Portals.

Working on a different drop link for easy disconnect right now!

Did this ever come to life? URL no longer works but I see some LeTech references on the GWOA FB page...

I haven't heard of anything but would like to figure this out myself. I removed my sway bar completely and it is a huge improvement off-road, but I would like a quick disconnect setup. With the stock design, even if you disconnect it, it will then hang down and hit things when you are off-roading.
