I wonder how much of the "conversion" Nestle does, and what's just clever ordering. "Conversion" or "Umbau" is a term the germans like to throw around a bit much. Shocking, too, how the Hiace with the black bumper reminds me of our old Aerostar (yeah, that's right!)

This is a Hiace Super Custom TXD with the high roof, long wheelbase, and 4WD (which is based on the 100 Series system). Usually uses the 3.0 turbodiesel and a five-speed manual.

We have two of these in the motor pool at our office in Kampala... very capable vehicles off-road.

The only issue is overheating in ambient temps in northern Uganda and South Sudan (which reach over 45F!). Often extra fans are installed or a larger radiator, but the engine location is simply not ideal.
