DII Rear bumper and swing away spare tire carrier

Land Rover newbie here - about to purchase a DII that's mostly outfitted.

I need to get a new rear bumper and would really like the spare tire carrier to be part of it. I really like the look of the Rovertym bumpers but their tire carrier looks like it hangs WAY off the back of the truck. I'd also love to get a system that allows for a jerry can.

Any other recommendations for quality manufacturers of bumpers/swing out carriers?

HLC is the only other one I know of. On the page he has a D1 but they can be done for D2

I was looking for the same thing as you but couldn't find it. Had to make my own. The HLC is a nice looking bumper, but I wanted better departure angle. The spare tire is mounted high to get out of the line of departure angle.

The gas tank skid is incorporated into the bumper and reinforce eachother. The front of the rear quarter sliders is braced solidly back to the frame. Mudflaps quick release with 2 lynch pins per side. Center bolt pattern is for a Dixon-Bates tow jaw, shackle mounts are tied directly to the frame.

HLCFab is your only option if you want the convenience of opening the rear cargo door without having to open/unlatch an independant swing arm. Im in my rear cargo area daily and theres no way Im making it a two/three step process.

The front reciever hitch mount bumper shown on the HLCFab site belongs to a fellow SOLAROS club member. I spent a long time admiring it at a past club meeting and it was flawless! HLCFab does excellent work!

Is that a picture of your truck finally? ;)

Rob, Old pic from last year.

She has been in the shop since december, currently topless but hope to have her back on the road by the end of the month.

And yes i need to get in gear and start a build thread.
