I'm heading out shopping tomorrow. You need anything for Saturday? Refreshments (gatorade, water, juices, etc??) What about food?? I'm hitting Costco.. So a few extra $$$.## won't kill me..

Holy smoly you guys are crazy cool....
Joe & Michael (Baja)....before you guys go nuts lets make sure we will have an event
Granted this is wed morning and I hope to see more response today or tomorrow but at this point most of the phone calls & emails are concerned about
1) Trail toughness (for future reference I need to pre-run a trail and have a report with pics folks can check out)
2) Crazy rednecks vs mellow fellows....folks don't want to get buckled into buggies and risk more limbs
3) Insurance & Liability....oh how we are nation of litigation
4) the fact that this is our first event

So based on what happens by mid-day tomorrow the choice will have to be made to either continue with the event and see who shows (since the full info is on the flyers maybe some will just show up even though it says call to reserve a seat)....or to cancel and I will just be at the meet spot in case anyone shows...
I really don't want Jerry & Al to waste a trip all the way from Socal to Az with stupid gas prices and not have an event worthy of their efforts.

I will post up tonight with progress and tomorrow (thur) by evening....

If nothing is would those of you who are local to Phx still like to make it a run for the fun of it...I am still up for running, cooking and testing how things would work out.

Thanks again for all the positive comments and effort, it tells me that the future of Disabled Explorers is very bright here on Expo.

Not a problem.. Costco is still open on Fridays so I can get is last minute. I'm still open to ride. I have capacity for 2 if I only bring Drew. My Ins. is up to date all the way around.. :smilies27

As with most "group" functions.. A waiver might need to be in place.. I might be able to dig an old one up.. IF not I know someone who's got a current one..:ar15:

Yes. I'm still wanting to get out and strech the truck and trailers legs... :bike_rider:

Hi Lance,
We would like to attend and would be able to take one passenger.
The front passenger seat will be for our guest passenger with Max, Charlie and Amy riding in the backseat.

As you may know Amy is a Physical Therapist and just thinks your idea is the coolest! So we'd love to support and participate if you need.

Speaking of liability, are passengers signing any sort of waiver?

Paco Dog and I are still planning to come up from Tucson. I think this is worth doing even if just one person shows up and needs or wants a ride. It will be a fun time regardless. Thanks again for all of your hard work. See you Friday or Saturday.

Brian - It would be great to have you along and please let Amy know that she can feel free to contact anyone who she thinks would be interested....all the have to do is call me 602 Four 5 One 6079 so I know to reserve them a seat and ask some background questions...

Uptree - that is cool that you are still willing to drive up from down south, it seems that we could have a great run as a test case no matter what happens

On the waiver issue, I am working on putting something together based on other waivers I have in hand.....it would be for everyone to sign, drivers & passengers

well it is thurs afternoon and I still don't have confirmed passengers...who knows maybe some folks will just show up on sat at 8am (i will fix this thread later tonight, going into work now)....
my real concern is I don't want Jerry-1leg & Al to drive all the way over to Az and feel it was a wasted trip....
if you guys want to wait for a socal event or until I have something bigger here (i feel that will happen, this was just our first effort and only a couple of weeks of promoting it)......

I will try to pm both of you.....

for those of you who still want a fun run on sat I will see you at 8am....

wow I am really glad to have all of you come on out to play...
we can still cook up something & since it is smaller group I am thinking burgers & veggie burgers (I will cover that & buns/condiments) if anyone else wants to bring chips or sides or dessert great and bring your own beverage ( but please no alcohol on the trail)....

anyone know of a good repeater that covers the area? I am planning to send my son to 7 springs to guard a spot & that way Michael (BajaX) wife has someone to ride w/.....I would like to kee him in radio contact
