Well seem's my Disco gave its last heartbeat yesterday just outside Scottsdale. My mother, bless her heart, drove the rover down to meet me in Arizona for Expo 2011. As I boarded my flight from Honolulu with all my earthly possessions (as I'm moving back to the mainland from da islands) I got a call she had to have it towed to the Dealership.
Seems the heating core gave out causing some overheating and there now asking $2500 for heating core and another $2500 for head gaskets which took a beating. Even if I had the work done (as I don't have the time, tools, or knowledge to do it myself) they couldn't get the car done till Wednesday! As the car is a 2000 disco with her fair share of hard love knocks the repair bills are not worth it.
Now the question is what to do with a dead rover in AZ with the title in Colorado? I'm looking for any suggestion, thinking about finding a local buyer, or donating to a charity.
So now as an independent travel, I'll be having my mother drop me off at expo every morning (she's getting a kick out of that).
