Disco Diesel Conversion

crossing the great Nebraska wasteland.

Aha! So there's the real reason :)

Crossing Nebraska is all about attitude and the little "signposts".

"Beaver Creek" west of Lincoln is where I always feel that prairie actually starts.

The wacky "arch". Well, it's something to get past.

The military vehicle seller. You've gotta stop in at least once and look through the guy's inventory.

The "Keith County" and "Mountain Time Zone" signs.

Oh! Don't forget to stop at Ole's for lunch.

The split for I-76. It's more fun and only slightly longer to continue west and really see some West.

Yes, I've made that transit a few times.

Oh, and stick with the V8. This is America dammit ;)

Steve if you are @ 22 with a/c on running 80. Just me, but I wouldn't tweak a thing beyond that. Glad my website helped someone out.
Where in the Blue Ridge Mts are you moving ?

We are moving to Ashe County NC, in the shadows of Mt Jefferson just south of Galax Va.
"you cant get there from here"
Hopefully when I switch plates to NC they wont look at my OBDII :)

Yeah, I've crossed Nebraska many times too. Ive been everywhere the Union Pacific RR goes as well as everywhere the BNSF RR goes (concrete tie gangs). I wish I had a dollar for every time I have driven from North Platte to Mullen. Yup, eaten at Ole's too.
