Discovery 1 turn indicators

Anyone know if there is a way for a person to get the turn indicators on a series one disco to come on with the head lights at night like on newer rovers?

They would have to be dual filament in order to do that, otherwise you wouldn't have a turn signal when lights are on....or you would have to run an interrupter system like US cars have for brake lights when turn signal applied..

Sure...installndual element bulbs in the TS housing and power the non-blinker from the "city lamp" bulb in the main lamp...or an additional low wattage bulb installed in the TS housing. Just don't tell your insuranse agent or the investigating law enforcement officer that I told you to.

Defender's have them OE right? May be worth sourcing those and wiring in to the side marker or what have you.

Yeah, pretty sure the bulb holder is plug and play into the D1signal housing. Just need the pigtail to splice into.

they were used on NAS defenders, freelanders, and p38s so if you have time to go to a junkyard you can do that too

The running light on a D1 was in the stock bumper end caps in a flat vinyl sheath with I think a red and black wire thats in the mid 20 gauge range.
