Discovery 2 key blank options?

I'm not sure how it happened, but I can't find my second factory key (with my gun keys...good things I have spares). I'm very organized in general and I'm really ticked off about the whole "losing items" concept...

I still have my other factory key with a FOB but I was hoping to get some spares for the ignition.

I've looked quite a few places for KEY ONLY blanks for the 99-04 discos, but everyone is pointing me to the stealership for a key blank w/ a FOB for $193.

any options or tips (besides "Don't lose your keys, **************") are appreciated.

Actually,
Just take your stock key into a good locksmith shop and they can make you a new key from a flat blank. I till work on the doors and the ignition.

I originally ordered some "Land Rover" keys off of ebay but nobody would cut them because they are steel and will ruin the modern key machines and equipment.

The locksmith will have key blanks of softer metal.

My spare is made from the following blank:
Manufacturer = ilco
Part # = X239 RV4 USA
and probably cot me $2.

I actually have a D1 key as my backup key. It's been a few years but I seem to recall you had to snip the end off or something.
