the correct tool is a 3 jaw puller.
I can remove even the most rusted rotors the midwest can create in less then a minute with my puller and it never once makes that horrible sound of smacking a big hammer onto the back side of a rotor.
Get the correct tool and the job is simple.
Yeah.... but a few judicious taps on the HAT of the rotor will help loosen things up and make the puller's job easier.
I've been having a problem getting my WHEELS off the hubs lately. All the hub caps have fallen off and been lost, and it seems like dust packs itself into the microscopic gap beteween the wheel bore and hub, making them impossible to get off. My 20lb sledge on the inside sidewall can't budge them. I have to use a smaller hammer on the inside lip of the wheel. It's horrible, but I don't know what else to do.
Well, I'm greasing inside the bores now. Don't know yet if that will work.
