Mods if you want to move this to the snorkle wars thread please do.

Materials
Hole Saw
Drill
Pop Rivets
Rubber Edgeing

Length of pipe aslong as you need for your aplication
Pipe thickness 3" min size for most cars but 4 or 5" will work well also
Stainless pipe or normal if your not into the bling thing

90 degree rubber bend
2 45 degree rubber bends

Hose clamps to suit pipe thickness

rubber edging for the hole in the guard

the beaty of this system is that you can fit it for any vehicle no matter how long or short you need it to be, asfor the ram most of us just face it backwards with a 45 degree bend but you can pick up truck ram heads to suit 4" and 5" pipe.

I used 4" pipe and will be fitting a safari style ram head, these are available at all truck parts stores in Aus not sure with the USA but that is also where i obtained the rubber bends

Each end will need a hose clamp to makesure the snorkle is water tight.

im sure you can workout how to install here are some pics from my diesel GQ

Thats is about the cleaest DIY Snorkle I have ever seen.

Here in the states most people gravitate towards the PVC pipe and it looks like hell!

What are the elbows off of?

The bends i just picked up from a truck store, most Semitrailer's run snorkles in australia and you buy the bends and the like from those stores. in a pinch you could use intercooler bends for a turbo but ive never seen them in black.

Any specalist plumping store should be able to help you, they are worth around 18$ a pop.

What really upsets me in these pictures is the Victoria Bitter all over the place, and NO we can not get it in the USA!

Nice snorkel. Better Bitter! Did you get all pissed while building it?

We are so asphalted over in the U.S. trucks can put on a million miles and never see more then a gravel parking lot. The likely hood of anyplace having those parts here is about Zero. :(
I do have a place that sells centrifugal precleaners for construction gear. See what they have next time I am in the area as they do not have a web site.

Very nice Blizz - did you make that yourself? What year is your 4
runner?
His is a 1994, I think I remember him saying. I believe he said it has a 1KZ-T (or maybe 1KZ-TE since it's a '94).

Second the nice, clean appearance!
Truck supply vendors do have those as I've used them for projects at work. Size may be an issue, don't recall the smallest size offered.
A link get started with: Franklin Truck Parts

Its a factory one but not for that model car, its the bonnet scoop of turbo diesel GU patrols both the 3l (ZD30) and the 4.2 (TD42T) run them not expensive you could probly ship them to the US cheaply
