DIY Ujoint questions

We ordered our lift back in June. Ujoint was super fast getting their goodies shipped. No complaints with their service. How long has it taken Atlas to get springs shipped? We are 15 weeks into a 12 week wait. Is this normal? Chris is working on his end to find something out. We were just wondering how long others have waited.

Oh man, that sucks. I didn't know there was such a long lead time for those. Looks like I'll be putting mine together in the snow.

Yeah, I have a short bus and will probably too. I thought I'd wait until I finished rebuilding my axle and t case before ordering, bad idea I guess. I'll call him this week. I hope you get some good news too.

Yes that is a normal wait time unfortunately, my last spring order was 18 weeks from Atlas.

I thought he was going with another company because of the wait but it took me a couple months for my springs from Atlas. Was lucky enough to be able to pick up as I was getting thr bus converted while somewhat still in SoCal.
What year short bus do you have rubberduck n what are your plans for it? Also, how tall did you go, I went 6 inches n love it.

My #1 source of frustration, spring lead times. I wish it was easier to swap vendors, most won't build the springs we need and we have so many options (lift size, capacities, engine size, etc) so blueprints will need to be made for all of them. We have started to use Deaver to lighten the load and our new coil kit will have them in the rear since I'll be ordering 10 sets at a time. Anything with extra capacity will still have the long lead time until Atlas gets their act together.

We have the same lead times here for turn key swaps, everything ships in order. Getting them to ship is the hard part.

We have a 1999 E450 ambulance. Going 6" and 35's. Can't wait.

User Java has a box truck conversion and has chronicled his horrendous experiences with Atlas on pirate4x4. I would be VERY hesitant to use them. Lead times are a hassle but waiting so long for the wrong parts more than once is inexcusable.

Sad to hear that. I've been using them since 02 and years ago I would go out of my way to thanks them for having their act together and being a great vendor. Over the last few years things have gone down hill. Mainly with lead times and communication. Quality has been ok but things do happen and need to be warrantied from time to time. It sucks for us since we rely on them so much. I have spoken to multiple spring shops around the country and lead times aren't much better plus we have to start over with springs rates/etc.

I'm real close to getting on a plane to go out there and observe for a few days to try and help/see where the issues are.
