Do Jeeps have feelings?

I, too, believe car have feelings. When I was a teenager and would run the snot out of my car, I know it loudly breathed a sigh of relief when we would get home and shut it off for the night. My best friend did say once that he heard an "OH, NO!!!" when we got into it one day

I agree with the prior poster, smoke from the battery is not right, and should not be from the battery. Look for some worn insulation on a large wire. All small wires should be fused, and the fuse will "open" before smoke appears.

Remember, all electrical systems work by smoke; once you let the smoke out of the system, it no longer works. :ylsmoke: This knowledge came from an electrical engineer.

Quick update on the battery (and my Jeep's feelings ) Left the battery at the local O'Riley's. The first trickle-charged it for a while and then fully charged it on their quick charger and the Jeep is to live. Not sure what I did but I managed to drain the battery so low that even with jump starting, it did not get enough choice and all I did was getting the terminals hot.

The psychological state of my Jeep I think is good; as Chris recommended, I explained her that I'm upgrading her and I think she is fine with it :p Chris is quite a vehicle psychologist

She might be lulling you into a false sense of security and might try to kill you on the way to the dealership.
Drive carefully.

My running joke in Spanish was "My Jeep is my girlfriend" and a few people have pointed out it's the longest relationship of my life....

We shared some amazing adventures together, and I think she was so good to me because she loved the constant adventures as much as I did. I often talked to her on the road and asked advice for directions.

Walking away at the airport in Buenos Aires was not easy.

Jeeps do have feelings, as does any car with character. I gave up on my XJ when 3 mechanics said he wasn't worth it. Now I have to see him nearly every weekend because the guy who bought him drinks at the same bar. It is torture! Our other cars have feelings too. There is Nigel our Landy Disco, and Adolf my Mercedes E430
