Do you remove your awning for daily vehicle use?

I am new to overlanding and joining the forum. I'm equipping my new Jeep slowly with the proper gear and just added an ARB 2000 awning to my Gobi rack. Simple question - do you remove your awning in between uses or just leave it mounted? My Jeep is also my daily driver hence the question. Plus I'm curious about security since just two bolts and the awning and Gobi brackets are off the vehicle. Thanks in advance.

I leave mine on full time as well. My RTT pretty much lives up there too. To me, it isn't worth chasing that extra mpg or two. As far as security, I have had my Jeep broken into and they didn't even touch it...YMMV. If you are overly concerned you could easily lockwire the nuts as an additional annoyance to the would be thieves. I've done this with my jerry can caps.

I planned on taking mine off over the winter, but I didn't get the storage loft in my garage ready until it was warm weather again.

I have a camper van that has turned into my daily driver. We take it everywhere because of the convenience of having a small apartment with us. Our awning stays attached all year and we use it all year. It just feels like it adds more square footage to whatever it is we're doing. Yes, we do bbq under it. Camping, concerts, picnics, ski'ing or water parks. It's easy to set up and take down so we use it.
