Saw a posting about this conversion system - found their owner's manual and its really well written and has a lot of details on the system -

English content starts on page 30.

Its a viscous coupler system (like a VW Syncro) with an optional rear diff lock. Unusual drivetrain design as it uses bevel gear boxes (90 degree) to bring the driveshaft to the rear differential. No low range.

Characteristics of the 4WD Endurance conversion:

 4x4 transmission with automatic torque transfer by hydraulic coupler

 Total ground clearance of 195 mm when empty in working order (according to
the version).

 Speed ratios unchanged

 Original tyres

 Weight of the equipment: approximately 150 kg (according to version).

Someone should contact Upscale Automotive in Oregon to see if they can work with them to offer a conversion of ProMasters here in NA - like they did for the MB Sprinter.

Those right angle drives and little gear boxes don't exactly scream "robust".... Just " bust" maybe! lol. Guess time will tell.

Nothing on a Ducato rattle can screams "robust" !
We have them here since the early years and they're well known to be crap on wheels.
