We are listing our camper and truck for sale. Time to start a new build... Total build cost at $67K (includes the price we paid for the used truck as $60K is what the truck alone cost new at the time). Asking $54K.
I've been getting a lot of questions of people who want to buy just the truck; we are not interested. Only looking to sell as a unit.
This rig has served us beautifully. Never abused, in perfect condition. Ready for travel!
4WD with good ground clearance; well insulated camper for extended off grid camping. Perfect rig for overlanding in the US or outside of the US and Europe: the 5.9L Cummins is pre-emissions (DPF, DEF, EGR) with no need for ULSD! We have decided to include the Stable-Lift system ($4K installed a few months ago) which allows for easy 3-minute loading and unloading in nature (no kidding: drop the camper at your remote campsite and use the 4x4 truck for exploring).
Here are the specs. So far I've only taken cell phone pictures; reach out if you want to come see it, want to do a video chat at the camper or want better pictures via email/chat. Available immediately, the rig is located in the Phoenix, Arizona area.
Truck:
2005 Dodge RAM 3500
5.9L Cummins Diesel (legendary engine that lasts and lasts ... no emissions cr*p! LOW miles!)
79K miles!
4X4
Single rear wheel (we opted against a dually for better maneuverability offroad and in old cities outside of the US)
8ft. long bed with bed liner and additionally protected with stall mats
34 inch AT tires (bought last October, 5,000 miles on them)
No lift, original height
Firestone 2299 Air bags
Cold air intake
Laramie model with leather seats, heated seats
Upgraded Boss entertainment system with GPS, Bluetooth, backup camera
WeatherTech floor mats
Double lock gas cap protection
Last maintenance & reviewed by diesel mechanic on May 8, 2018. All new brakes, oil change, fuel filter. The truck was maintained by the previous owner at the Dodge dealership with full paperwork documentation available of its service history! Perfect condition, no rust, it looks and drives like a new truck (no kidding).
Current KBB value of the truck is $30K.
Camper:
2014 Livin Lite Camplite 8.6c: all aluminum construction, no wood (never rots or structural integrity degradation) and no steel (never rusts). No camper overhang in the back (which would get in the way of offroad exploring).
Installed on the truck with the Stable-Lift system. Top of the line lift system built to accommodate 5,000 lbs campers. The Livin Lite is only 2,000 lbs: plenty of weight left for filling up the water tank and adding your stuff into the camper. Stable-Lift is unique in that it doesn't use tie-downs or turnbuckles to set the camper on the truck: the Stable-Lift system secures itself under the truck.
Fully insulated walls and roof
Insulated wood vynil floor
Teak shower floor
Azdel composite cabinetry with alu framing
1500W GoPower inverter
160W GoPower solar
2x Trojan 6v golf cart batteries
Solid surface countertop
3-way Dometic fridge
Deep sink (plenty of room for pots and pans) and upgraded kitchen faucet
Queen size mattress
Insulated curtains
35 gallon fresh water
20 gallon grey water
9.2 BTU air conditioner
Wet bath (indoor toilet with black tank and shower)
2-burner cooktop
2 propane tanks (20lbs)
L shaped dinette with custom high density foam pillows
... and many other creature comforts (water heater, 12V and 110V power outlets, TV/DVD, radio, LP and CO2 detector, fire detector, etc.)
Also included:
Yamaha 2000W generator: hardly used, just changed the oil, like new condition
I'm sure I'm forgetting a bunch of stuff so let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks for watching!
