Does a 2” coil spacer exist for 2008 Lr3 w AB 2” coil conversion?

is there any coil spacers out there or does anyone else run the same set up? Currentlay have the AB 2”+ coil conversion Want to add another 2”. Please help.

Check Lucky8 Proud Rhino Spacers; I am not sure on the size of the spacers but I think they are close to 2" and there are lots of threads on here related to their installation, questions, and concerns.

Throw the SYA spacers being referred to on top, that gets you to 4".

Lots of discussion of it on the book of faces.

Thanks guys. Has anyone had any negative issues while running the spacers plus the 2” coil conversion? They say it puts too much strain on the cv joints?

Negative issues include running tires that look great, but also reduce speed significantly. CV joint strain is discussed, but that's relative-most (not that the N is all that high here) don't seem to dwell on that.

The biggest question that has to be asked is 4" of lift in order to...what?

Heightened CG aka rollover risk.
Alignment issues.
Ride quality.
Suspension being topped out. Every inch you add with a spacer is an inch you lose off down travel aka articulation.

If you plan to only drive in flat areas and want to look 'cool,' go for it.

I did exactly that. Looked super cool, didn't work super cool. I ran it for about 3 months, and put some serious mileage under it. The biggest downside was the total loss of downtravel to the point where my TC was kicking in on the road going around corners because the inside rear tire was lifting a bit. I ultimately removed the SYA spacers as I was concerned about the stress on the CVs constantly and under load and voted reliability over a little extra clearance.

Pretty much as stated above. I'll chime in with my 2 cents. I love the aesthetic of my truck, but that's pretty much it. 35" tires are cool, and if I were using my LR3 as a dedicated rock crawler, then sure...however, I think there are better tools for that job than the LR3/4 platform. If you're trying to maximize the utility of this platform (i.e a "balanced" setup for trail and DD duties), then a 32/33" tire is the max I'd do and you should plan your suspension setup around that tire.

I've got 3 bad CVs on my LR3, and mine has the HD rear axles (not sure if there's a difference between HD and non-HD truck Re: CVs). I'd argue that the larger tires and the increased lift required to fit the extra 2" of tire make a HUGE difference in terms of rotational mass and overall stress on components. The only reason I have my truck on a 35" is because that's what came on the truck (I've been told a 37" will fit if you're very brave). Apples to apples, my truck on 35" with the rear locker disengaged was stumped by the very same obstacle that stumped an LR3 on a 32" tire without a rear locker; in fact, I'd argue that the larger tires make it harder for the traction control to function properly.

If you've got a fully (triple or double) locked LR3 and you're willing to deal with the increased wear, and the fact that you've re-geared your truck for much worse acceleration, then yeah...a bigger lift will allow you to fit a larger tire, which in turn will net you more lift. I disagree with most on here that this is for nothing; ultimately you are stuffing a larger tire under the truck and the benefits of that mod don't magically disappear with the cons. However, as someone who has an LR3 with one of the largest tires that you can fit without serious sheet metal trimming, I would avoid anything above a 32/33" and stick to 2.5 inches lift. My next tire will be a 33/34, and my truck is pretty much a dedicated weekend toy and does not serve daily driver duties. Hope that helps.

I realize I'm late to the show on this thread but some really great information here. Our non-profit has 3x LR3's; one on EAS and 2 on coils. All rigs are on the same 32" Duratracs. We just purchased the Lucky8 SYA and were going to install it on one of our coil rigs. We love the coils but find we just want an extra 1-2" of ground clearance. We don't intent on running bigger tires to keep all teh rigs universal and avoid regearing, acceleration, traction control issues, etc.

So for the audience (if anyone is still there) do you think there will be a huge risk to the CV's by having the AB 2" coils and the SYA kit on 32"s?

Thank you for sharing your inisghts; what size tire were you running?
