Hello all,
Newbie here. Found this sight after lurking on iH8mud for a long time. Anyway... I have a starcraft 11rt and my question is: I have a Elixer Idustries power converter/ charger. When plugged to shore power the fan, in the converter, will "pulse" for about 3 seconds, then be off for about a minute. (Very annoying when trying to sleep.) I have a dual battery set up w/ deep cycle marine batteries. I had my batteries checked at the local auto parts store and they said batteries were fine. Charged them to full, and checked all fuses. I guess this "pulsing" could be normal, but I noticed at the end of last camping season, and have not noticed it before. The fan does run continously when lights or other things are on. Everything else seems to be working fine.

WOW...

Any response is appreciated!

Thanks

Perhaps your Converter??

Is actually a power inverter. Not sure but anyway my Inverter has a sleep mode whereby all the big electronics go to sleep for a brief period and when they wake up if there is a load present needin AC they wake up and make more noise and thus providing me and my 120 VAC appliance with power.

Signed, also on MUD

Our inverter/charger fan will come on as soon as we plug into shore power to start charging the battery bank.

Once the batteries are charged, the fan will come on and off a irregular times depending on what is going on in the brain of the computer in the thing I guess.

As long as I have power, I dont pay too much attention to all of it:coffee:
