Dometic Customer support kinda sucks for a $1400 cooler!!!!

Here is my gripe and I actually hate to do it!! My very expensive Dometic CFX 100W is not working and I have been trying to contact someone or something for over 2 months . They have a website that is kinda crappy that gives you one dealer in all of the USA in Denver that when I finally got someone to pick up the phone they told me they no longer work with Dometic because they would not pay the hourly repair cost and that they where a horrible vendor.... ??? They have listed local repair centers that are mostly black water tank stations and no one within the 500 mile range that I called would service my $1400 box!!!! Does someone have the magic customer service number to call or am i ******** out of luck on this 13 month old paperweight????

Sorry to hear that, I find they are a strange mob too, They are very over priced and they call fridge freezers "Cooler" which they are not. and they always try to sell something else, I wanted one of their powered coolers and they kept trying to sell me a fridge, But I already have 2 ARB Fridges which I am over the moon with, But they tried to undersell their powered coolers to me in order to get me to buy a more expensive item but the truth is their coolers behave just like a fridge and for temps under 90*f their coolers are great second to none.

Eh, i've had nothing but great experience with my Dometic fridge. What issue are you having?

Its not getting below 40ish and it freezes up in one small area.

Bryan contacted me this week and is solving the situation!! Dometic HR needs to hire more guys like Bryan!!! AND needs a Web site reset! Honestly if not for the power of this community i'm not sure I would have gotten this taken care of! Thanks To all of you!!

That's good to hear. I've never bought one of these portable fridges as my normal travel rig is my camping van that has a built in compressor Norcold. In the LX, I just carry a small Yeti cooler because two days is my max for camping with that rig.

It seems like a number of companies need to do some hiring of talented staff. ONe or two people even from larger companies do all the heavy work while others just pass the buck!!!
