Donahoe/Deaver purchase...

Daverami, the add-a-leafs ride MUCH better than stock. The truck had a tendancy to get loose on severe washboard, and between the Deaver AAL and the Bilstein 5100's that's pretty much been elimiated.

Thanks, I think I am going to go that route. One final question, did you get any additional lift in the rear?

Thank you,

Oops, I said one more question before but I thought of something else, sorry. How is your load carrying capacity now? Also, did you remove the stock overload spring? I know you are supposed to, but I have heard that some people have left it in for load concerns?

Thanks again.

I left the overload out - wanted the softer ride quality.

We've not loaded the truck with anything more than 4 adults, 3 dogs and a cooler...so I don't know how it'd do loaded.

Done!

First off… everyone thanks for the advice. I’d be screwed without all the great help here on the portal. I called Demello to investigate the details of the Stage 2 kit. They actually immediately talked me out of that package because they have been having problems and complaints about the 10-leaf Deaver pack. Bottoming out issues?? They suggested the Stage 1 Kit which has a 3-leaf add-a-leaf supplemented with the Donahoe reservoir shocks. The conversation left me a bit stumped. UNTIL TUESDAY!

B. I want to publicly say, “Crawler is the MAN!” :clapsmile
I made the trip to Chino Valley on Tuesday to see Mark, Tami and the Crawler family fleet of hopped up Toyota trucks. Not only did he toss me the keys to take his ’05 Tacoma for a spin, he put it up on jack stands, removed a tire, meticulously answered all my mental-rookie install questions AND offered to lend a hand to get the install done! Mark, thanks a ton…

3. Mark’s truck has the straight Stage 1 kit. That suspension is the bees knees! Although Scott & Chris have been talking up the OME setup on the ARB truck (for a few bucks less)… When I hit the road in Mark’s truck… I immediately thought, “I’ve GOT to get me one of these!”

Done. I ordered my Stage 1 from Demello the next day. On my short list of initial mods, this suspension has jumped to the top as the one I’m the most excited about. You guys better lookout, cuz when this is in... I'm gonna be dangerous. :ar15:
