Drawer Set-up for CDN 101, or M416 Trailers

Guys,

I have a modified CDN 101 now. I would like to have drawers installed in the trailer for storage. Please post up what you have for this set-up. I am thinking heavy drawer slides or teflon runners. We want to cook out of one of the drawers. I am thinking two drawers the full length of the trailers.

It seems I am constantly cutting up and rebuilding my 416. I thought I had it dialed in until this drawer came up on FB marketplace. So I recently cut the remainder of the back off and am rebuilding it with a used spare tire carrier I had laying around. The drawers box measure 40 wide by 48 long. It’s a tight fit but it works perfect.

Very cool. I put my spare tire under the trailer. I have a door on the back. Will post pics of my setup. Did you use teflon glides underneath the drawer? Or drawer glides on the side?

Look up making drawers from skate board bearings. a whole lot cheaper than than drawer slides.

I just bolted the whole system to the floor of the trailer. I removed the original floor years ago as it was rotting away. The drawer uses bearings inside its aluminum inclosure. I was also thinking of mounting my spare underneath but didn't want to compromise the ground clearance, Though now I'm dealing with a heavy rear end and not enough tongue weight. Hopefully my RTT will balance it out.

The ground clearance is still very good on the 101. Still higher than my 80 series Cruiser. I used an old chain lift off of a Toyota pickup truck to raise and lower tire.
