They are Allegis Corportation T-handle compression latches. I bought mine with the adjustable cam and as you can see ordered them all black. They came very quick after I ordered, one of their warehouses is in Nevada I believe.
Funny thing...I ordered these myself without fully understanding how they worked. I saw them on another set of drawers on some other forum and thought "those are some pretty slick units, those are what I want to use"!

Here they are dry fit installed from yesterday...
. I'll be honest, they are really cool but take some time to fit them correctly. Especially if your wood is thicker than 1/2" for depth issues. But with the adjustable cam you can really get a snugly secured drawer.

Ok so first I would like to point out my design flaw. As I was making the face of the drawers I had an "oh crap" and had to notch out the sections you see for the drawer slides. That is the down fall from doing a majority of the project on the fly aside from my two minute drawing on a napkin kind of planning.
Besides that I like the way they turned out. Today I will coat the outside with Black Durabak-18 smooth. I was going to use a spray gun but nervous with the fumes in my garage being so close to a water heater with pilot light!
Question for anybody: Does anyone have experience spraying the Durabak product?
The section in the back that I will for now use a latch system without a hinge to keep it secured is the compartment where my on board air compressor with be located, fuse block, house battery with battery selector switch and solar panel charger setup. Pretty excited to have this thing dialed in and operational but for now trying to get the thing painted and in the truck and I can do all those things at a leisurely pace. Thanks for following. Today I put two coats of durabak-18 smooth on the drawers. Lets first start off with that I have no experience using a paint gun and this probably would of been the smoothest finish but the type of nozzle that I borrowed from a buddy and the other characteristics of the gun and material that was being sprayed was not lining up. So.... I decided at the last minute to roll it on, which worked out just fine. The only bonehead maneuver that I made was touch the roller down in one spot to late into the drying stage that it made a weird texture. Fortunately for me that is where the fridge will be.
The rest of the light colored area's I am going to go back and touch up with the regular Home Depot exterior grade paint that I couldn't get with the Durabak-18 such as the area's inside the edge of the frame.
The picture is not the greatest being a phone camera and the lighting is terrible but the drawers are shown with the two coats and the second picture are the securing latches I will use for the forward compartment that will house the compressor and assorted electrical items. My goal is to have these drawer's and other items %100 dialed before our next Baja Sur trip in the summer.....

Hopefully when the temps warm up I will get started on mine. I also have to build a lid for my trailer sense it will be in the bed of the trailer. Where did you get the wood? I have checked Lowes and other places but cant find birch.

The drawers are finished and ready to be put in the truck. The set back is waiting for my friends to be around to help me lift it in. Typical rain in San Diego....sporadic and windy so thats why I have a tarp on it. I didn't want to coat it in my garage...too worried about the fume build up and such. Look fwd. to further dial them in once bolted down to the bed. Have a good day!
Also in addition...I couldn't find the right size socket cap screw w/ button head so I have to use a regular phillips head type which doesn't look as good but will change them out soon with the right ones.

So here it is...completion day!!! Feels so good to have the drawers sitting in the truck and out of the garage but of course things still need to be tweaked! The fuel tank fwd. of drawers is bolted in finally as well but the plumbing still needs to be run and the electrical bay planned out. These are the things I really look fwd to, dialing things in to be the most efficient as possible!Similar threads
