A strange noise............
A couple weeks ago I had a strange noise develop in the front end drivers side at the wheel (I believe).
It almost sounds like a thin metal scrapping that definately coincides with wheel speed. The odd thing is that it only occurs in one situation. When turning left, at mid to high speed. When turning left slowly (such as making a u-turn) it is silent. But anything that initiates any sort of body roll when turning left produces this scrapping sound.
Yesterday I replaced the CV boots on that side so I was able to get in there and see if there was maybe just a small rock stuck between the disk and the dust cover, but there was not. Everything seemed to be inplace and in alignment. Could this be a wheel bearing issue? It seems odd that it would not make that noise all the time then. Perhaps i'm wrong.
Maybe it just needs an Engel MT-45 on the drivers side to counter-act the body roll?:hehe:
Any insight you guys can provided would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Adam
