Dual battery in V8 4Runner

Hey Guys, I am looking to install a dual battery setup in my 2006 4Runner. I would like to put the second battery up front but all the installs I have found online are for V6's. I am not sure I am going to have room in mine. Has anyone done this before with the V8? If anyone has pictures or tips I would really appreciate it.

Same engine, but different vehicle, on my 2000 tundra I moved my power steering reservoir over one mounting hole toward the engine witch gave me more room for a smaller battery, but with more work I could have got a larger same size battery in there. Looks like you might be able to as well. Although my air box is toward the front on the truck, yours is opposite, but looks like that may be the only spot!

Nice, thanks guys. One more question. I have been researching batteries, and there seems to be a lot of hype around the die hard platinum battery. Just wondering if you guys think its worth it. I dropped a good amount of money into an optima already, thinking for the second battery I might be able to go a little cheaper.

Interestingly I did this exact thing over the weekend in my 4Runner. I have a 2007 with the v8 as well. I used this as a guide for my wiring

I used an Odyssey PC925-T and a custom made tray from here http://www.qualitypowerauto.com/catalog.php?item=112

I mounted the battery in the same location as the guy did in the link provided by Badtoytrd but I fitted the battery so the terminal post are oriented towards the engine not the front of the vehicle. I'll try and take a picture and post it in the morning.

Look at Costco batteries. They get great reviews with specs similar if not better than the competition and for half the price. Where I got mine and I'm very happy!

I have a Diehard Platinum. It is supposed to be a rebranded Odysssey. It is sealed, which is nice, and you can't beat the warranty.
