I'm looking for a dual battery management system for my 2k09 Taco. who makes a kit that is able self jumpstart if need be and have solar hooked up also.
This allow to run both batteries for winching or other high output situations? for solar wouldn't I just connect a solar to dc charger to the house battery?
my thought was if for some reason the trucks battery takes a dive I can still start with other battery then I don't need to pack a jump box. Winching takes a lot of power so if both battery are in parallel then I don't kill the starter battery. This is all new to me an seems everyone has different opinions on the subject. I'm looking for a off the shelf plug an play type kit.

I plan on mounting mine under the bed as the idea of having all that weight in the stock battery location scares me lol
I'm Familar with running batteries in parallel that's the way all my diesels pickups were setup. I wanted to able to isolate one from the other that way I'm not drawing power off the starting battery while running fridge lights ECT. I looked at some battery online to use I don't plan on using Wal-Mart discount batteries for this. I'm unsure of what to purchase at the moment. In my Tacoma I can't mount a battery on the passenger side they both have to fit in the stock location or get a custom battery box an mount one on frame rail.
