Dual cab rear passengers grab handle

Just after some information on the "grab handle" that runs behind the drivers seats from drivers door to the passenger door in an Isuzu NPS. Wondering if it can be removed or if it is to stabilise the cab, . It's down as a grab handle in the manual.
