dual fuel tanks

I have a 05 F150 super cab and I was wondering if it would be possible to put another gas tank on it. Or should I put a bigger tank in?

you could fit a 2nd tank in where the spare tire carrier goes. try looking at rockauto for tank sizes for bronco and e150's. i would think these would be your best bet.

I will check that out thank you. My 86 had dual tanks and I liked that. Wish they still came that way.

it might be cheaper and easier to find and install a larger tank

Adding a transfer tank is not too difficult and very affordable.

I had to cut the fill tube and add a few inches of height.
Crossmembers:

Lots of drilling , painting and welding...

The tank hangs just below the frame rails.

All plumbed to the tank-

Pump line tee'd into the main tank fill vent line and the tank vent tied into the main tank vent line-

My fiberglass traction/bridging ladders act as a shield for the tank, held up by winches mounted on either side.

Fuel gauge reads in gallons. LED indicator and momentary switch to transfer fuel. Works great.
