DuSouth Rover Lift Rod Review- Spoiler Alert: Great

Picked up a set of the "new kid on the block" lift rods for my 2007 LR3.

I was looking at other products for a long time but thought the $185 mark for the steel Johnson Rods seemed steep. There were a few adjustable options out there that I didn't find appealing due to the fact of possible movement.

Found these guys online or on Ebay. Good solid aluminum rods. Great workmanship and at only $125 shipped seemed like a deal.

Installed them last night and it works flawlessly.

If you want to save $60 and get the same result? Why not.

Several years ago I made my own out of hardware store threaded adjusters and firewall grommets. Must have cost less than $30 for all four.

Worked nicely.

Lets keep the thread on this product. I can make a bumper for my lr3 out of steel and a torch too but sometimes its best to have someone else do it. Thats what DuSouth Rover is for.

Both this guy and the Johnson rod guy are laughing all the way to the bank. As a designer and metal fabricator, I do applaud them. Geniuses!

I bought my LR3 from Sasquatch who made the adjustable Sasquatch rods, one of the first designers for these type of lifts. His sold for more than $200 but he made very little money on them. Quality parts cost money not to mention time and headaches.
