E350 goes thru rear tires.

Does anybody else have a problem with the ford E series van going thru rear tires? Mine separate and go out of round. I went thru four E rated BFG MUDs and two e rated Michelin LTX tires in 55k miles. What gives?

You're talking 55K miles, for ours we put 8K on our Firestone TransForce's 10plys and they look and drive like new. If there was a lot of back roads or fire road travels I might be happy with the 55k if they're 4 plys. But to sum it up our E350 seems to be easy on tires so far.

I went thru 6 rear tires in 55k. None last past half tread before coming apart.

I usually get about 50-55k miles out of my tires but I religiously rotate them at 5k.
Never had an issue.

How much weight is on the rear axle? What is the rating on the tires and how much pressure is in them?
All E rated tires run at 75-80 PSI. Van weighs 9000 lbs. I pull a dune buggy on a flat 18' car trailer often. Maybe that's why it's hard on tires.
