Looks like we found the problem! ******..... How could they forget to put these in..... Thanks!

That's FORD!
I've heard of Ford dealerships (most any mfg really) inspecting new deliveries with missing stuff a lot. A Lincoln steering wheel on a Ford, mismatched wheels/tires, missing/incorrect badges, the list goes on.

Glad you've sorted it in any case.

I know a few folks who inspect the time stamps on new cars to make sure they don't buy one built on a Monday morning or a Friday afternoon. The first and last cars of the week tend to have some issues. You should see the types of things people find hidden in doors or quarters from factory workers who are careless or bored.

My rear doors do not have them either but I don't see any holes like the side door, where are they located? the rear doors don't move at all though? Thanks again.

Thanks MG, this is exactly the piece i was talking about. There should be two of them on the top of the slider door frame. You might want to check to see if they are missing from the rear doors (top and bottom) as well.

Attach the slide door with a piano hinge at the top. Make awning out of it.

So after 2 weeks I finally received the "wedge" from my local dealer and after 45 minutes at the parts counter he says there is no "rivet" listed and can not help me. I just looked online and did not have any luck, does anyone know the part # for the rivet that goes into the wedge ford part # 3c2z-1525300-AA? Thanks.
