I received email from Kym Bolton of All Terrain Motorhomes with the following information about the configurations of the EarthCruiser:

"1. Turnkey EarthCruiser - right hand drive/camper access door left hand
side - SWB Single cab

2. Turnkey EarthCruiser - right hand drive/camper access door left hand
side - LWB Twin cab

3. Export EarthCruiser - will fit on FG Canter 4x4/camper access door
remains on the left side. Camper module supplied complete with 240 or 110
Volt inverter, plus all components and fitting instructions to build a
Turnkey EarthCruiser. (suspension, tyres/rims, kinetic mount frame, cab
access cut out template and components, water & fuel tanks, body skirts, etc
all supplied) Available in 2010

4. DIY camper - The External module, operating roof, complete internal
cabinetry fit out,, trimming (leather seats, bed) 120Lt refrigerator,
toilet. BUT No Electrical, Plumbing, skirts, suspension, tyres, mount
platform. All these items can be retro fitted by the assembler.

NOTE: We have spent considerable time on development of the suspension,
kinetic mount platform and super singles. Unfortunately, although we have had
many requests to supply, we regret that none of these components are
available separately."

This last point is disappointing, because the modified suspension looks mighty impressive!

The EarthCruiser makes its debut at the Brisbane Truck & Machinery Show 14-17th May.
The vehicle will also be on display at the Caravan & Camping Show in Brisbane 3rd-9th June.

The EarthCruiser is appearing as part of the Mitsubishi Fuso exhibit at
the Queensland Truck and Machinery Show through May 17. I hope
someone here can attend, and share his/her impressions of the vehicle.

I received an update about EarthCruiser from Lance Gillies,
one of the owners of All Terrain Motorhomes. The company is
delivering its first two production vehicles this week. One vehicle
is scheduled to travel around Australia, and then through Southeast
Asia to China and Russia next year. The second will shortly set out
on a round-the-world drive. Like the name says, Earth Cruiser!

I asked Lance for photos of the finished vehicles, and more shots
of the EarthCruiser in action. In the meantime, we have to settle
for the original photo from this Spring.

Bump to the Top with Great Interest... What's New since the C&Camping Show? More production Pictures? Update on the delivery of the first (2) Production Units?

We've put in an order for one for delivery in Dec 2009.
Initially for expeditions around Oz but overseas later on.
Kym is currently up Cape York peninsula doing some final final checks!

Below the spacious work area is the 120Lt fridge /freezer, and plentiful storage.
More storage draws are below the double bed.




Up front are two leather seats, with a swing-away table. The table will in fact swing completely into the vehicle cab if needed, or drop down to form a single bed if required.

Welcome Bandicoot! Thanks for sharing that photo of the EarthCruiser
backing into a 20 foot shipping container. Clearly, the mirrors have to
come off for final loading. I still can't see how the driver can get out
once the truck is inside! Maybe you back in for 2/3 the distance, then
get out and push the vehicle in the last few feet.

Are you planning to join Kym and Lyn Bolton on their drive north
across Southeast Asia to China?
