EdgeStar fridge mods?

A lot of debate on the "Cheap $400.00 shipped" Edgestar fridge.
I have one & would like to flip the lid to open the other direction.
I could just load it in to the FJ Cruiser the other direction but I like having the temp gauge & vent facing the rear door.
Can I unscrew the hinges and redrill new holes for the hinges on the other side of the fridge? Has anyone else done this to a Edgestar?

I kinda looked at doing the same thing but decided it would be to much of a pain in the *** for me, so I just moved the fridge to the other side of the jeep.
