We have sadly decided to sell our Eezi-Awn 1400 rooftop tent. We purchased it in 2006 and have used it all over the western U.S. and Baja. We have camped many times in high winds and it has held up beautifully. It has been used but is in good condition. Our baby is motivating us to move back to the ground as we will soon outgrow it. We are located in southern CA in the inland empire.
-All zippers work very well
-No rips or tears in canvas or rain fly
-New cover purchased June 2011
-Has extension ladder for taller vehicles
-One of the window ties has broken as pictured below
-Canvas has some staining from water (from some trips to the great Northwest) but we have not had any problems with leaking.
-Wood platform has some cracks/finish has worn off (due to weather) in some areas as pictured below.
-Original mattress was modified a bit. It had a layer of high density foam and a layer of softer lower density foam. It wasn't quite comfortable enough, so my wife opened up the fabric cover and separated the two layers, kept the hd foam and sewed the fabric cover back up. Then we got 2 Therm-a-Rest Dream Time mattresses to use on top of the original. They added extra padding but we were still able to leave them (and the bedding) in the tent when closing it up. Unfortunately we are not planning on selling the Therm-a-Rests.
We are asking $900. Located in southern CA. New ones are selling for $2200 plus $200 for shipping. I have more pictures if anyone wants.
