Actually, the ratchet is not attached to the tent. Just the cover. So....the world is yours! Ummm, unless the tent is rectangular (rather than square) when it's folded. Dang. I thought I was going to contribute positively, when I started to type.pskhaat said:Cool thanks. One more question, is the ratchet side consistent on all models and on which specific side is it?
That depends on what you mean, I suppose - the rack square or rectangular? I wish I had a photo of the bottom side with the aluminum channels. The channels sit in from the edges of the tent by several inches. I seem to remember about 38" of space between centers on the parallel channels.LUISJG said:im worried about the dimentions also,, i built my rack with 48 1/2 wide inches on the inside to acomodate a future 1200 eezi awn, might not fit...??

Oh, I get it. You want the tent inside the rack? MMMM....yeah. The canvas and all that stuff does make the sides "poofy." Sorry, been doin' a little drinkin' tonight.LUISJG said:Mark,, when i made my rack i made it closed al the way ,, now i have redesign the rack so when i mount a ezzi awn tha tent itself can open to the back of my vehicle, this is that there is only 48 1/2 inches wide available to seat the tent in place, here is a pic of my redisign rack so you have an idea what am i talking about,, in other words the ezi awn has to meassure 48 inches wide closed so it will fit, and since the fabric of the tent hangs out when folded it might not fit. ,,i would need to know how much does the 1200 meassures when its closed with the cover in place.
