My family and I ran the ECDD with Joe (runninrubicon) and Steve Curren and Joes buddy George.
We had a realy great trip and explored miles of the area out there. We ran thru Papago Well, Tule Well, Christmas Pass, thru the Tinajas Altas, thru Cipriano pass, around the Baker mountains and the Copper Mountains. All told I had about 240 miles pavement to pavement.
Joe has a lot of knowledge of the area and has run it many times. We explored all kinds of roads and had some really cool campsites. 5 days and 4 nights and the hot shower and shave I just had was the best ever. :camping:

Heres a pic of the start of the trail. Some of the flowers (there were lots) and sunset at Papago Well.

Zoe and Michelle at Christmas Pass, this tank and others were between the Wellton Hills and Baker Peaks, some cool rocks in the Copper Mountains.

Did you all run into any border partol??

I worked on the fence down around that area.

Border Patrol everywhere. The only place we didn't see any was at Christmas Pass camp.

I sent a link to this thread to Steve and Joe so hopefully they'll post up some more pics for everyone.

Alvin,
Love the pictures and I really had a great time. Perfect weather as well as feeling oh so secure with all the Border Patrol agents running all around there. Sure liked traveling with you and your great ladies.
Joe, thanks for leading us through the desert and finding some great camping areas that were out of the way yet legal.. I have my permit for next year..
I am gonna try to post a few of the pictures I have.
Steve
