EMU Suspension all corners

The Dakar HD's REALLY shine when loaded...

The other day Hauling a completely loaded 1st gen 4Runner (full of wet wood) my GF was riding with me and couldn't get over how smooth the ride was(that's physics for ya ie having the load to force the suspension to cyclefully) and yet how the suspension didn't wallow or sway... That and the truck barely sat any lower in the rear then normal.

OME Dakar's are far and away the best value in suspension out there. The millitary wraps (at moth ends) are a nice addition too, Some comanies charge more for their springs and don't build half as good a product.

ALL of our 70-Series Cruisers in Australia were outfitted with OME suspensions all around and ALL of them say more off-road and full-load duty then most Trucks here do (both on this board and in the US in General...). I bought my 4Runner adn the first thing I did was go to a full OME suspension. I'm VERY pleased with thier Nitro-charger Shocks and steering stabilizer too. Worth every peny.

I would go 2.5" all around and look for the sus to settle out a bit with use/age.

Any way, clearly I LOVE OME/ARB products. Big BIG BIG fan right here.

Cheers

Tanks all for your advice!

EMU at all corners will be the plan for Phase III.

Question now is for UCA's, ball joints or uni-balls considering harsh Wisconsin Winters with salt and debris?

Ball joints would be Camburg, uni-balls either TC or AP...

Phase II will be on schedule early next year: snorkle, some type of roof basket or slim line system above the cab and an aluminum DCC Wedge topper over the bed and foilage wires to protect the front and snorkle. More lights and a radio likewise.

Maybe a project to prevent snow from packing into the Budbuilt skid plates, something like Rod Millen used to do with his CORR Tundra, clear plastic shields underneath for the winter or year round?
