I got a programmer installed.............it's very fun to drive now!

I got a new fuel tank installed because the well known issue with the 06 liners coming apart, came apart in mine.......that mod was not so much fun.

Last will be head bolts and I will have peace of mind.

I see some long weekends coming at work where I would be better off camping in my truck than going home to sleep. I don't have time to build the fold down bed, so I am looking at hammocks as recommend before.

I have only had a few days off of work since my last post so not much has been done to my truck. I did buy a hammock from Jacks R Better and love it! I haven't used it in my truck but I did hang it in my office at work and sleep in it for 17 days straight trying to finish a big project.

I am not sure when I will have time to work on it but when I do my next major project will be insulating the utility body. I have searched here and all over the interweb about insulating it.

A) K.I.S.S- just go to Home Depot and get the foil backed pink board insulation and put it up.

B) Use bubble wrap or some sort of vaper barrier and then insulation.

Do y'all have an opinion?

Pics are always fun so I will show my bumper and running boards I added since my last post. I will say that I could have built a front bumper but I am not sure it would have come out as nice unless I spent 40-60 hours on it. The running boards I could have built better than I bought in about 20 hours but I bought them and installed them in 2 hours.

I don't have much free time right now so I did what worked for right now.

After spending 4) weeks cooking lunch and dinner for myself and two others in NY I have realized my next project......insulation!

I have a Big Buddy heater and a Coleman stove that put out the heat, this makes the metal roof condensate, which then drips. After we leave it then freezes back. The next time I open the kitchen there is even more dripping! I had icicles forming at one time!

Also my food was freezing, I would have to thaw the cans out to get the contents. This did not help my prep time.:chef:



I bought a Coleman instant water heater that worked great twice.........then it stopped working, I was very disappointed. I have another on order that should be here soon.



I did a little research on insulating, I guess my first decision is vapor barrier or not.

Ice house is not just your beer, eh. Have you thought about spray insulation? I think it acts as a barrier and insulation.

I have not looked into if anyone does it around here and not sure how I would go about doing it myself.

I started the insulation project today, I only have a few days to get as much done as possible before I hit the road again.

And more progress today....

The specialty tool that I used and highly recommend is canned beans.

The way the truck body is made, where the top and side insulation panels meet, there will be no insulation. That is the silver seam you see. I will need to do something there.

I could just shoot some foam in the joint but I would rather have something that looks like moulding and will insulate as well.
